There's something about working with passionate people. They are not only passionate about the work that we do, but also about life in general. I have found a company full of role models who I hope always inspire the work that I do and the life that I live. |

While a 15 yr-old, I angrily asked my dad why I had to hoe the garden (2.5 acres) while my friends were out having fun and why he insisted that I play football as a freshman in high school. His response was that "I needed to understand from where my food came and that as a freshman I would be the smallest, most inexperienced, most vunerable." The moral is that if one doesn't work, one doesn't eat and that no matter what one's station in life there is always someone bigger, stronger, and smarter. Know how to take a hit and to lose and get back up and keep going.
My grandfather told me that "one has the right to do whatever one wishes provided that no direct harm is done to another person or another's property." Between the thought and the action is choice. |

"The customer is always right... right up until his claim is denied. To apply our trade we must doubt what we hear and doubt what we see. If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck it might be a short ventriloquist. The world is different than most people perceive it to be. I love working with our existing clients, helping them learn how the underwriting world looks at things." |

"I would write poetry for a living, if I had the pen, the nerve and the soul for it. But poeming is a rough way to go. In my best year as a penny-poet, I made $40. Even though that was 1978 dollars, I sometimes make more than that in a week as a broker. I know my place now." |

"Over the last ten years I've worked with IRC. First, from an insurance company perspective as an underwriter; next as a large multi-national client of theirs, and now as a partner and owner. We focus the refiner's fire on the confluence of client, lender and underwriter concerns in order to help all reach accord on the real issues thereby distilled.
