Outline of Client Services

Perpetual Training & Portfolio Review: Our ultimate aim is to create in-house policy expertise. IRC hand-delivers new insurance policies and conducts in-depth training. We also provide refresher training whenever necessary. Training is provided to policy administrators, usually the credit team, but also to treasury and sales personnel who need to understand insurability guidelines. IRC also strives to create this in-house expertise through monthly compliance contact.

Administration Assistance: IRC provides reminders of policy renewal, credit limit expiration dates, claim filing deadlines, compliance advice, as well as monthly sales and past due report dates. We also review reports to assist in monitoring proper qualification of your customers and proper setting of policy country limits. Moreover, our partners communicate and advocate with underwriters on your behalf on all aspects of your policy, including refunds, special endorsements, credit limit approvals, and claim approvals.

Aggressive Exploration of Alternatives: When first named broker to a policy and whenever substantial changes to a portfolio occur, e.g., a client acquires another company and wishes to add that volume to the policy, we assume coverage can be improved and initiate negotiation with the insurer. IRC also advocates aggressively at policy renewal and will help you source the global credit and political risk insurance market to achieve the best cost and coverage possible.

Documentary Review: IRC will review randomly selected files to determine the completeness and sufficiency of documentation and credit information used to qualify customers for coverage. This type of review is an effective way to isolate general policy compliance deficiencies.

Credit Reports: Foreign and domestic credit reports can be ordered from IRC. Because many of our clients use this service, IRC is able to order, track and deliver a report to you at savings of $10 to $60 per report.

Internet Access: Clients can access our website to obtain policy information, apply for buyer limits, obtain country information, order credit reports, download forms, and more.

Written Records: When substantive matters of policy interpretation are resolved, we follow-up in writing with the insurer to restate the issues and findings, which insurers sometimes are uncomfortable doing themselves. Creating a written record reduces the chances for misunderstanding, eliminates the possibility for revised holdings at time of claim, and assures a client that the desired coverage is in place.

Institutional Memory: We own this business and cannot be transferred or reassigned. We provide a personal and stable involvement in your credit insurance policy and serve as part of your institutional memory as you file claims, change personnel, grow, or alter coverage year after year.
